I can’t stop thinkin’ about, Coyote tracks covered up. Broken rope swings. Climb through a hollowed out log. Blowin’ smoke rings. I’ll build my home here. Would you live by the sea with me, he asked as I fell asleep. Would you dance in the moonbeams, he begged as I didn’t speak. Won’t you please just run away with me, to where we won’t see anybody, anybody. And I just stopped by to tell you that I can’t stay like I said I was going to. I regret to tell you that I’m leaving but to where I don’t know yet. I realized I must follow the breeze and the falling autumn leaves. I am tying my shoelaces. Wait! please don’t lock the wooden door, I left all my things on your back porch. I lied all I wanna do is sail a boat around the world with you. The wind stopped blowing when I left your side and forgot what you tasted like. I am, will always be, barefoot. I can’t stop thinkin’ about, I crossed a babbling brook to where you said you’d be I built a dam in the woods by the edge of the creek I’ll build my home here.
